The PCS 2025 Workshop will take place at two different locations
on the University of New Mexico main campus in Albuquerque. On
Thursday (09/18), the workshop will take place in room 1044
(ground floor) of the Centennial Engineering Center building,
located at 300 Redondo W Dr. (see map below). On Friday and
Saturday (09/19-09/20), the workshop will take place in room 2540
(second floor) of the Physics & Astronomy and
Interdisciplinary Science (PAIS) building, located at 210 Yale
Blvd NE (see map below).
To reach UNM's main campus from the Parq Central hotel,
participants can either walk (20 mins) or take the free rapid
transit bus route 766/777 (direction Uptown Transit Center or
Central & Tramway) from the center platform located at the
intersection of Central Avenue and Walter street (located 3 blocks
west of the hotel) and getting off either at the UNM/CNM station
(Thursday) or the UNM-Popejoy station (Friday/Saturday). The hotel
also offers a complimentary shuttle that can take PCS participants
to UNM's main campus. Availabiltiy of the shuttle is however
limited; inquire at the hotel's front desk for details. The PCS
local organizing committee will also pick up some out-of-state
participants from the hotel each morning of the workshop.
To easily access room 1044 (ground floor), enter by the double doors on the Southeast corner of the Centennial Engineering Center (CEC) building. The workshop room will then be the first room on your right. Note that most entrance doors to the CEC building are always locked, except for the double doors on the Southeast corner, which are open during regular business hours.
To access the Physics & Astronomy and Interdisciplinary Science (PAIS) Bldg, enter via the inner courtyard doors, which can be accessed via the west side of the building. The workshop room (2540) is located on the second floor. To access it, cross the PAIS lobby and find a set of glass doors marked "Card Access Only". Someone will be there to open the doors for you. Then, climb the stairs to the left of the glass doors to the second floor. At the top of the stairs, take a left and walk all the way down the long corridor. Room 2540 will be to your left. Note that most entrance doors to the PAIS building are always locked, except for the doors located in the inner courtyard, which are open during regular business hours.
